The air was crisp and fresh and birds could be heard chirping everywhere. This morning showed promising signs of being a beautiful day with clear skies. There was a little dew on the grbutt but that would soon evaporate and the few clouds in the sky would pbutt on. Stormwhisperer smiled and looked around the camp clearing. He was going to take his apprentice out to train for the first time. Reflecting back, Stormwhisperer remembered how excited he himself had been on the first say he he was to train. The sparkle in his eyes, the glint if excitement. It came vividly to him and boardened his smile. No one was in the clearing; the morning patrol had left and so had as group of hunters. There was only a gaurd standing just outside the camp entrance, but Stormwhisperer didn't look or sniff the air to discover who the cat was.
Poking his head into the apprentices den, he prodded Garlicpaw to wake him up if he wasn't already awake. Then, backing out of the small den, Stormwhisperer waited for Garlicpaw to come out and then they could leave to train him for the first time.
sorry this is so awful but I still need those musetanks! I'm finished though

Garlicpaw A large wave of sleep poured over the young tom as the night went on. It wasn't until something big and powerful that Garlicpaw woke up. Just don't move Garlicpaw.. He thought to himself as he heard the large animal pad away softly. Maybe he'll forget about me.. whoever he is.. the apprentice did actually know who was waking him but he didn't care. If he was to get out of training then he was happy! But the shame of leaving his mentor waiting for him was too much and Garlicpaw found himself by Stormwhisperer within a minute. Blinking away sleepyness, the plump youngster hopped cheerful around Stormwhisperer as he waited for them to go training. "So.. What are we going to do today Stormwhisperer?" He asked with curosity, he hoped it was hunting! Once Garlicpaw learned to hunt, he could eat as much food as he wanted. Then he would never be hungry again but that was impossible cause the new apprentice was ALWAYS hungry. There was never a moment in time that the tom was not found infront of the fresh kill pile! He was eating Bloodclan out of house and home! "Are we going to hunt?" Garlicpaw asked softly, hoping that his mentor would teach him that today. Please say yes He thought to himself as he stared up at Stormwhisperer with his innocent bubbly eyes.

Looking at the young tom next to him, Stormwhisperer lent out his heart to him. As much as Garlicpaw wanted to hunt, they needed to have a battle training session since the mysterious cats could show up anytime soon. They'd already attacked the other clan, Skyclan, and what would make them stop attacking them. No hunting but fighting instead would fill the day for them. He hated to dissapoint his apprentice, but food was plentiful at the moment and what they really needed was to have another able fighter at any upcoming battles that needed to be fought. Looking down at his young apprentice, Stormwhisperer said, "Sorry to kind of dissapoint you, but I think you need to learn some fighting skills. You never know if a battle is just over the horizon and you want to be able to fight and protect your clan right?" Stormwhisperer hoped he already knew the answer to that and hoped Garlicpaw would take it in as a retoricle question. Stormwhisperer wished that he himself would die one day fighting fir his clan. He couldn't bare to die anyway else. An honorable death would give him peace in starclan and with his tragic past, that was exactly what he needed.
Hoping he hadn't put Garlicpaw down, he walked toward the entrance of camp to go to the training hollow. He didn't look back to see if Garlicpaw was following him, he just expected it. Without stopping until he hot to the hollow, he looked around the lush forest and sighed. This was his home now, not Riverclan. That stupid place was forgotten. He stepped into the training hollow softly and waited for Garlicpaw.

Garlicpaw Bring on that Peacan Pie! Pour on some Sugar, Sugar don't be shy I am not afraid throw my weight around... Garlicpaw looked up at his mentor with sadness. "Are you sure??" He asked with disappointment. "I mean.. The mysterious cats can't be THAT mean... to starve a hungry little apprentice is a HUGE crime to commit!" The plump apprentice bounced after his mentor while complaining about being straving. His complaints weren't annoying but actually very cute. For a dumb feline, Garlicpaw made up very good excusives for hunting. But finally the depressed Bloodclanner stopped complaining when he realized that his mentor wasn't even listening. Or so he thought. "So.. where are we going to battle train Stormwhisperer??" Garlicpaw said, totally perked up again. "Are we going to fight bad guys!?" The plump kit looking cat jumped up on his hind legs and swung his fat paws up into the air but falling onto the ground almost instantly. "Hehe!" Garlicpaw laughed happily. "I'm as good as any Warrior! I'll be Garlicslash the amazing! I'll be able to touch the sky while beating up a mysterious cat!" In reality, Garlicpaw didn't look like a threat and wasn't one. He was kinda fruity and would most likely become a medicine cat apprentice after he fought his first battle. But Garlicpaw was a very loyal cat and would stick by someone's side even if they had wronged him. It was probably because he was not very bright, to put it nicely.. Pound by pound by pound by pound!

Stormwhisperer looked back at his apprentice dissapointed. Why couldn't his apprentice understand everything about battles? The usual kind and patient cat here, turned angry and upset at this; his past reflected why. "Garlicpaw, when you confront one of these physcotic cars, or they confront you, you better be ready to give every single ounce of strength into either reall, really injuring the cat, or killing it. You can't hold back at all. Small injuries inflicted upon them won't send them crying back to their mommies. Their so tough they can withstand injuries that would be life threatening to a normal cat. Even though you should never, ever kill a cat, you might need to kill these cats to survive yourself. Always fight hard. Outside of Bloodclan and Skyclan, cats kill for fun. They go out of their way to kill. If they get the opportunity to kill you, they would without a second's hesitation. Be glad we don't kill for fun!!" Stormwhisperer didn't exactly know how much of that was true, but he thought it would motivate Garlicpaw and make it easier to train him. It would simpilfy things to the extreme if it worked.
Smiling to himself, Stormwhisperer wondered how much of it would stick in Garlicpaw's mind, and how much wouldn't. That didn't matter that much, unless it really motivated this cat to fight hard.
"Ok, sheath your claws right now and jump at me. in battle, never sheath your claws, but always in training." Stormwhisperer waited silently for his apprentice's pounce.

Garlicpaw Bring on that Peacan Pie! Pour on some Sugar, Sugar don't be shy I am not afraid throw my weight around... Garlicpaw looked at his mentor with worry in his eyes. What if he couldn't master the move then Stormwhisperer would get mad! And everything would go wrong and he wouldn't ever become a warrior. But if he chickened out he would never know what fate would bring him so Garlicpaw prepared to spring but slipped on the grass. "EEE!" He said as he fell flat on his face and feeling like a duffous. But wait.. I can make my mentor be amazed when I surprise attack him. The young apprentice thought, as though he were the smartest feline ever known. Basicly that was the smartest thing he had ever thought making the little plump apprentice want to be smarter. But first he'd have to jump onto his mentor and surprise attack him. The plump tom waited and waited until he was sure his mentor didn't expect anything and leaped crazily onto the other tom's back. Garlicpaw mewed happily and bounced around on the mentor's back. "Wasn't that swell?!" The young feline meowed, acting full of himself. "I tricked you! I twicked.. I mean tricked you! I'm as good as any warrior!" Garlicpaw puffed out his chest and continued bouncing. "I guess.. I'm ahead of all the other apprentices right? The surprise attack takes great skill? Doesn't it?!" Garlicpaw smiled at himself but quickly lost his ballance and fell off his mentor. "PHEW!" The new apprentice mewed softly as he pushed himself up to his wobbly paws. "I'm getting hot and tired of fighting.. let's go hunt now!" He grinned and raced toward the trees. Pound by Pound by pound

Stormwhisperer could easily have dodged Garlicpaw and then pinned him, but Stormwhisperer just let himself be effortlessly knocked down and pinned, He want to make Garlicpaw feel good so he would try harder and their training session would be made easier. Next time though, he would have to play hard so that his apprentice knew that battles weren't easily won and that you have to fight hard to even stand a slight chance at winning. He looked down at his apprentice. "Well done, surprise is often key to success and will help you win a fight if your opponent doesn't expect it and if you try your very best. Our clan needs cats that are persistent and tenacious. You've thought well by surprising me. I certainly didn't expect it but a cat learns from his or her mistakes. Next time, I'll be ready. Dont expect to win so easily."
"Now jump at me, and watch carefully what I do, but also focus on your part of attacking. It's tricky to do both, but I know you can manage. Now, when your ready."
